About my school
We are a small primary school in the Western Isles in Scotland.
What challenges have you faced?
It can be challenging to make learning times tables engaging for learners, and for some pupils even games can fail to make times tables stick.
How did you find Fables World?
I came across Fables World just by chance and I’m glad I did! From initial contact to seamlessly setting up the platform, follow-up by the Fables World team has been exceptional.
How has it supported pupils?
Fables World is not only engaging, with memorable characters and relatable stories, but even the youngest pupils, in our case Year 1, are answering seven times tables almost without thinking. The platform is very accessible, allowing pupils to work independently at their own pace.
How do you use it in the classroom?
Whole-class lessons help reinforce the stories around the facts and provide a competitive element involving even the most reluctant learner. As well as Table Fables, Simply Maths reinforces number bonds in a fun way, and we are looking forward to Farting Fractions as our next Quest.
